Sprout brings spending, meals and water, study plans, and everyday trends together. Support: zzz2327747158@gmail.com. Include the app version, iOS version, and steps to reproduce a problem. Please remove private details from screenshots and never send API keys, passwords, or your complete journal.

Spending and income

Enter your monthly salary once. Later months inherit it unless you set a different amount. The app distributes it over eligible workdays; this is accrued income, not a bank balance or proof of payment. Choose mainland China holidays, Monday–Friday, or every day, and make date-specific adjustments. Workday changes apply from the selected month.

A new journal starts with a supported currency based on the device region. You can change it before entering financial records. An existing journal keeps its currency, including when you switch languages. Sprout does not convert historical amounts or combine different currencies. Screenshot amounts in a different currency need manual review.

Meals, water, and goals

Record meals manually, estimate ingredients from text, or use optional AI image recognition. Review estimated portions, protein, carbohydrate, fat, and calories before saving. Water shortcuts add the displayed amount. Targets are general adult estimates, not individualized medical or dietary instructions. Recording only some meals makes daily totals incomplete.

Recognize with the Action Button

On compatible iPhones, configure a system Shortcut that takes a screenshot and passes it to Sprout's recognition action, then assign it in Settings → Action Button → Shortcut. The Action Button is different from the older physical Ring/Silent switch; that switch cannot be reassigned this way. Shortcut installation and permissions require your confirmation.

After payment, leave the payment result visible and press the assigned Action Button. For food, open a meal photo or food-order details and press the button. Offline mode recognizes payment screenshots on the device. AI mode sends the selected image to your authorized provider, chooses a payment or meal draft, and fills available fields. Food-order details are prioritized as meals. Check the result and tap Save; pressing the button alone does not silently save an unreviewed expense.

Study plans and timers

Create tasks with a color, importance, and optional target completion date. Incomplete tasks are grouped by deadline. Tap the empty circle to complete a task; it moves to completed history. Linked study records keep the task color. Count up or choose a countdown; ending a session saves its elapsed study time. Live Activities depend on your device and system settings.

Widgets

Add Sprout from the iOS widget gallery. Record buttons are available in supported sizes. Water actions can add the shown amount directly; actions that need input open their corresponding entry screen in the app. Widget interaction and appearance depend on iOS. Long-press behavior is managed by the system.

Language and AI services

Choose System, 简体中文, or English in Summary → User Settings. Language does not change existing amounts, the Apple storefront, or the chosen AI processing region. Follow System uses the device's preferred language. Home Screen names follow the app's system localization.

AI is optional. Custom mode uses your own HTTPS endpoint, model, and API key in OpenAI or Anthropic format. The connection test sends a generated test image and may incur provider charges. Monthly AI, where available, uses Apple subscriptions and the disclosed regional service. A route that is not ready remains unavailable for purchase. Standard Z.ai API billing is separate from its Coding Plan.

Reports, exports, and deletion

In Summary, generate a report for the last 7, 30, or 90 days after granting AI consent. The model analyzes aggregated data; your device creates the charts and PDF. Saved reports appear in report history and can be shared. Sparse records limit the conclusions. Journal JSON export excludes report PDFs, and JSON import is not currently available. Keep separate copies of files you need.

Purchases and refunds

Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account. Manage renewal at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions and request eligible refunds at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/. Uninstalling Sprout does not cancel a subscription. If the service is unavailable, do not buy again; contact support without sharing payment-card details.

Monthly AI sends each selected image or report aggregates through the disclosed server to the model; custom AI sends directly to your provider. Each subscription period includes 300 image recognitions and 20 reports; failed model calls do not count. See Terms and Privacy for details.
